Performs accounting duties including bank and general ledger reconciliations, tenant ledger analysis, cash receipt reviews, journal entries, financial statements, budget updates, rent charge reviews, deposits, internal control reporting, and audit support. Provides accounting assistance to property management staff and uses accounting and property management software. This primarily remote role requires quarterly in-person training or event attendance and residence within two hours of Portland, Oregon.

Manage accounting operations for property management, including budgeting, monthly financial statements, variance analysis, audits, financial reporting, transaction quality control, regulatory compliance, project costing, vendor payments, and investor inquiries. Lead a small team of Accounting Specialists and collaborate with the Controller and other leaders on strategic planning, reporting, and process improvement.

Provides part-time administrative support by answering and directing calls, sorting mail, assisting visitors, ordering office supplies, maintaining contact lists, preparing weekly mailings, and cleaning office surfaces. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong organization, time management, multitasking, prioritization, communication, and basic mathematical skills. The role involves regular office movement and occasional lifting.

Oversee multiple multifamily properties to protect physical assets and maximize returns. Supervise onsite staff and contractors, manage leasing and rent collection, develop budgets and financial reports, implement marketing plans, ensure compliance and safety, and coordinate with vendors and corporate departments.
