Design, build, test, and document Python APIs, microservices, and client packages for quantum software products. Improve distributed-system reliability, performance, and security; use AI coding tools responsibly; review code; translate product requirements into tested software; and mentor teammates. The role requires strong web API development, authentication, testing, communication, and collaboration skills in a fast-moving scaleup environment.

Own deployment, configuration, integration, testing, and operational readiness of navigation and quantum sensing software on UAS platforms. Bring up sensor and navigation stacks, support lab and flight operations, diagnose field issues, manage test data, and improve deployment, testing, and CI/CD workflows. Collaborate across software, hardware, systems, research, and external partner teams. The role includes intermittent domestic and international travel and may involve ITAR-controlled information.

Lead the product vision, roadmap, development, and launch of a new quantum sensing product area. Partner with research, engineering, design, marketing, sales, customers, and hardware suppliers to identify opportunities, define requirements, prioritize features, and execute go-to-market plans. Manage hardware and software product lifecycles, including qualification, certification, manufacturing, and post-launch optimization. Translate emerging quantum technologies into customer solutions and support technical presentations, statements of work, and research proposals.

Lead Q-CTRL’s US government engagement strategy by shaping policy, legislation, and funding initiatives; building bipartisan relationships across Congress, federal agencies, defense organizations, and state governments; advocating for quantum technology priorities; identifying government partnership opportunities; advising leadership on policy developments; and representing the company in industry and policy forums.

Build and operate reliable, secure, Kubernetes-based cloud platforms supporting SaaS, hardware, and embedded deployments. Develop CI/CD, GitOps, vulnerability scanning, and Infrastructure as Code tooling; establish self-service golden paths; support multi-cloud, scalable, highly available infrastructure; troubleshoot Linux systems; and contribute to platform architecture, DevOps practices, documentation, and technical decisions.

Design and optimize compiler infrastructure, intermediate representations, optimization passes, and code generation for quantum software. Maintain a Python DSL, develop high-performance Python and C++ systems, collaborate with researchers to productionize experimental algorithms, and validate compiler outputs on quantum hardware. The role also influences technical direction, mentors engineers, and promotes engineering best practices.

Drive business development for Q-CTRL’s quantum sensing business by generating opportunities, managing leads and customer engagements, expanding existing accounts, building mapping-company partnerships, supporting government proposals, and translating customer needs into product and engineering priorities. The role requires sensor or related hardware sales experience, complex systems expertise, strong technical writing, government business development knowledge, and travel of up to 50%.

Performs day-to-day accounting across global entities, including accounts payable, expenses, payroll, banking, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Supports tax and statutory compliance, financial statement preparation, audits, process improvements, and equity or capital projects. Partners with operational teams to resolve financial queries and maintain accurate, timely reporting.

Own the company’s global tax function across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and future jurisdictions. Manage tax compliance, income tax provisions, deferred tax balances, GST/VAT, sales and use tax, FBT, transfer pricing, external advisors, tax software implementation, legislative monitoring, audits, and stakeholder guidance.

Own mechanical and electrical integration of quantum sensing and navigation hardware onto UAS platforms. Build, bring up, debug, modify, and test integrated systems across laboratory, environmental, field, and flight environments. Develop brackets, fixtures, cabling, and interface hardware; coordinate with systems and software engineers; document builds and anomalies; support suppliers, procurement, equipment maintenance, and safe laboratory practices. The role supports defense and aerospace programs and requires intermittent domestic and international travel.

Manage product marketing strategy and execution for AI-powered quantum technology products. Develop market research, product narratives, go-to-market plans, campaigns, sales enablement assets, conference programs, and customer engagement initiatives. Collaborate with Product, Sales, Engineering, Design, agencies, and internal teams while measuring campaign performance, generating leads, supporting sales cycles, and strengthening brand presence.

Develop and maintain FPGA firmware and embedded software for quantum sensors, including timing-critical DSP pipelines, calibration routines, data capture, DMA transfer, and embedded Linux integration. Build simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing, investigate system-level issues, support CI/CD validation, and contribute to sensor architecture, reliability, documentation, and field deployment alongside research scientists and engineers.
