Develops and implements clean energy and environmental justice campaigns across the Houston region. Responsibilities include grassroots organizing, canvassing, coalition participation, community engagement, public comments, campaign strategy, educational materials, events, media efforts, and relationship-building with local organizations and impacted communities. The role requires travel within the Houston region and to Austin, plus knowledge of organizing, climate policy, environmental justice, and Texas politics.

Create, curate, publish, and optimize daily social media content across TikTok, Instagram, Substack, and other platforms. Develop memes, graphics, videos, scripts, Reels, and TikToks; monitor breaking news and trends; analyze performance metrics; manage the social media calendar; coordinate cross-team campaigns and trainings; support influencer outreach; and edit staff social content. The role represents Public Citizen through dynamic video and advocacy-focused digital communications.

Lead strategy and coalition-building to defend democracy and the rule of law. Develop and execute grassroots campaigns and creative tactics, organize mass and targeted actions, engage diverse constituencies and subgroups, coordinate partners and working groups, and mobilize coalitions to oppose administration actions undermining democratic institutions.
