Own controls engineering for new magnet manufacturing equipment, including control architecture, Beckhoff PLC software, field networks, servo drives, HMIs, safety systems, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. Collaborate with mechanical, process, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to develop reliable automation solutions for coil winding, impregnation, joining, and end-of-line testing.

Develop and maintain medium- to long-term manufacturing production plans aligned with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing. Perform capacity planning, balance internal and external resources, coordinate material availability, anticipate engineering changes, and identify production constraints. Analyze performance metrics, lead times, and capacity utilization to improve planning accuracy. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP/MRP systems and scalable production planning processes during the transition from prototyping to industrial manufacturing.

As a Neutronics Engineer, you will analyze neutronics for the Alpha stellarator, automate simulations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance fusion technology for clean energy.

As the part-time Workplace Experience Assistant, you will support the workplace environment by managing office operations, creating community, and coordinating with services and teams; ensuring efficiency and warmth in the workplace.

Develop and validate assembly engineering work packages for a stellarator program, verify supplier data and installation packages, design assembly tools, monitor construction for safety, quality and schedule, and implement safety-critical controls across the supply chain during a 12‑month ITER secondment and subsequent work in Munich.
