Designs, prototypes, aligns, tests, and troubleshoots laser spectroscopy and electro-optomechanical systems. Owns optical designs from concept through production, selects components and materials, develops alignment fixtures and manufacturing processes, performs verification and validation testing, analyzes performance data, documents procedures, and supports manufacturing and customers with technical issue resolution.

Own and improve production systems across backend services and web interfaces, with a backend focus and full-stack contributions. Design reliable, maintainable, and performant applications; make architectural decisions; solve ambiguous technical problems; and independently deliver complex work. Partner with product, engineering, and leadership in a fast-paced startup environment while learning unfamiliar technologies and using AI tools responsibly.

Build and maintain automated production test environments for embedded Linux instruments. Automate device identification, network boot, disk and filesystem setup, software installation, and test suites. Integrate calibration and configuration data with cloud systems, troubleshoot across hardware/software/network layers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production provisioning, testing, and recovery workflows.

Design, develop, and maintain firmware for microcontroller-based IoT laser spectroscopy sensors. Support hardware bring-up, debug prototypes, implement serial communications, maintain revision control and CI/CD, automate manufacturing test/configuration, document designs, and perform firmware failure analysis and improvements.

Lead design, build, and maintenance of scalable web applications and services (C# or Java). Own systems, influence technical direction, collaborate with product and leadership, and deliver reliable, high‑impact solutions in a hybrid Denver startup environment.

Lead electrical design for next-gen laser-based gas analyzers: analog front-ends, laser drivers, high-ENOB ADC/DAC, PCB lifecycle, prototyping, validation, component selection, cross-functional production ramp, and mentor engineers.
