Supervise laboratory operations, guide technicians, prepare biological samples, operate serological and molecular analysers, perform confirmatory testing, review and release results, validate methods, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with ISO 15189, UKAS, GLP, quality systems, EQA, IQA, and CAPA requirements. The role also includes equipment maintenance, stock management, staff training, documentation, and safe waste handling.

Validates laboratory analysers, assays, methodologies, and operational systems while ensuring compliance with ISO standards, medical device regulations, and quality management requirements. Responsibilities include designing and executing validation studies, leading IQ/OQ/PQ processes, maintaining technical documentation, supporting audits and CAPA, managing change controls and risk assessments, troubleshooting installations, and training laboratory staff. The role collaborates with laboratory, quality, IT, clinical, warehouse, and supplier teams to implement compliant systems and improve laboratory processes.

Provide non-technical operational support for laboratory functioning including housekeeping, waste management, stock control, archiving, logistics, and basic administrative tasks to enable technical staff to focus on testing.
