Provides outpatient psychiatric nursing care, including patient triage, medication administration and management, crisis intervention, care coordination, clinical documentation, medication assistance programs, inventory controls, and liaison services with prescribers, pharmacies, hospitals, and community providers. The RN works independently in a daytime clinic, supports urgent patient needs, maintains confidentiality and licensure, and follows medical waste and documentation standards.

Provides nursing care in a psychiatric residential treatment and behavioral urgent care setting. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration and education, monitoring patient conditions, crisis response, coordination with prescribers and treatment teams, admissions and transfers, family communication, and clinical documentation. The role requires maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, therapeutic standards, and continuity of care while supporting behavioral health treatment goals.

Leads therapeutic recreation and experiential therapy groups for children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient, residential, addiction treatment, school, and outpatient programs. Conducts activity assessments, documents patient progress, maintains recreation equipment and grounds, supports case management and mental health operations, and participates in clinical supervision and training. The role requires patient interaction, physical activity, safety monitoring, and adaptable support across campus programs.

Provides direct mental health care, including evaluations, psychotherapy, psychological testing, family therapy, and case consultation. Leads clinical supervision, staff development, performance evaluations, documentation compliance, and quality assurance initiatives. Requires independent Kansas licensure, mental health therapy or assessment experience, supervisory experience, strong diagnostic and documentation skills, ongoing continuing education, and completion of required background screenings.

Provides employment-focused case management for individuals facing mental health challenges, addiction recovery, homelessness, and other barriers. Builds employer partnerships, supports clients with employment and life-stability needs, delivers crisis intervention and outreach, tracks outcomes, follows IPS fidelity standards, and advocates with community stakeholders. Requires strong communication, empathy, organization, technology skills, and experience serving individuals with mental illness or homelessness.

Leads youth psychosocial rehabilitation groups, develops evidence-based curricula, supervises Case Managers, and coordinates school and community programming. Provides crisis intervention, individual, family, and group services for children and adolescents; links families to resources, advocates for clients, coordinates with clinicians and external agencies, and serves as liaison to state hospitals and residential treatment facilities. Transports clients as needed and supports care planning and prevention efforts.

Provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychopharmacologic prescribing, medical assessments, medication reconciliation, diagnostic testing, and clinical documentation for adults and older adults. Collaborates with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, supports clinicians and community providers, communicates with families, and follows CMS, Joint Commission, and organizational quality standards. Requires Kansas PA licensure, psychiatric assessment and medication-management competency, CPR certification, background screenings, and EMR proficiency.

Manage medical billing, claims, insurance correspondence, collections, payment posting, and reimbursement accuracy. Coordinate with billing vendors, internal departments, insurance companies, and patient account teams to resolve denials, eligibility issues, documentation gaps, and payment discrepancies. Maintain account ledgers and billing records in MyAvatar and related clearinghouses, using Excel to track claims and payments. Participate in training, professional development, and workflow improvement initiatives.
