Leads the mill’s Process Control department and develops its control strategy, standards, systems, budgets, and technology roadmap. Oversees DCS, PLC, data acquisition, process information, and industrial control network reliability, security, and performance. Provides technical leadership for capital projects, system upgrades, troubleshooting, process optimization, documentation, and compliance. Coaches technical personnel and collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, IT/OT, vendors, and contractors to improve safety, reliability, quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Designs, executes, and supports mechanical and civil capital projects across a pulp and paper mill. Responsibilities include equipment evaluation, repairs and upgrades, project scopes, drawings, specifications, budgets, shutdown planning, root-cause investigations, vendor and contractor coordination, documentation, safety compliance, and on-call operational support. Senior-level duties may include mentoring engineers, leading risk assessments, and long-range planning.

Leads electrical capital projects from development and detailed design through construction, commissioning, and turnover. Provides electrical engineering support for troubleshooting and optimization of mill systems, reviews designs, interprets drawings and specifications, develops project scope and schedules, performs quality inspections, and collaborates with engineering, maintenance, operations, contractors, and project managers. Requires expertise in industrial power distribution, process control, electrical codes, safety procedures, and complex system diagnostics.

Coordinates training and development programs for pulp mill employees, including onboarding, safety and equipment training, scheduling, performance evaluation, compliance documentation, and reporting. Partners with department leaders, Safety, and Human Resources to identify skill gaps, maintain certifications, support staffing coverage, and ensure employees are prepared to operate mill machinery safely and effectively.

The Process Control Engineer will analyze processes, develop control strategies, ensure compliance, manage projects, and support operations in a paper mill environment.

Lead accounting and finance for three facilities and four businesses: oversee AR/AP, GL, inventory and cost accounting; produce financial statements; manage audits and CRA interactions; design internal controls; implement ERP/system improvements; and manage and develop the accounting team to support strategic decision-making.
