The role requires strong political knowledge, exceptional reporting and writing skills, sound news judgment, an engaging voice, and the ability to work independently with editors.

Drives revenue and partnerships for POLITICO Live’s portfolio of summits, forums, receptions, dinners, roundtables, and custom experiences. Responsibilities include prospecting, developing sponsorship solutions, managing client relationships, leading presentations and negotiations, closing complex partnerships, responding to RFPs, forecasting revenue, and collaborating with editorial, marketing, account management, and events teams.

Produces high-profile live and virtual events from concept through execution. Manages venues, audiovisual production, creative deliverables, budgets, marketing, attendee flow, vendors, speakers, agendas, timelines, and onsite operations. Collaborates with editorial, sales, marketing, design, clients, and external stakeholders while leading planning calls, show-calling, stage management, and continuous improvements across concurrent events.

Book and coordinate high-profile guests for POLITICO’s live journalism events and podcasts. Responsibilities include researching guests and topics, drafting outreach, managing schedules and communications, preparing briefing materials, maintaining booking records, and assisting with live and virtual event execution. The role collaborates with editorial, events, and production teams and requires strong political news judgment, organization, discretion, and knowledge of Washington’s policy and media landscape.

Develop editorial programming for POLITICO Live summits, policy briefings, and events. Research timely political and policy issues, identify newsmakers and experts, conduct interviews, create questions and conversation arcs, and write editorial and promotional content. Monitor breaking news, support moderators and speakers, collaborate with producers and bookers, and adapt programming through live event execution. Contribute to digital, video, and social storytelling that extends event reach.

Supports the planning and production of high-profile live and virtual events, coordinating venues, vendors, speakers, travel, registration, marketing, budgets, timelines, and post-event reconciliation. The role collaborates with editorial, sales, marketing, design, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver news-driven programs and brand experiences. It also manages planning calls, event logistics, invoices, debriefs, and event assets while recommending production improvements.

Lead POLITICO’s social media strategy, accounts, publishing schedule, and DC-based social team. Develop platform best practices, breaking-news playbooks, audience-growth strategies, and newsroom training. Partner with product, technology, data, and editorial teams to improve workflows, analyze audience trends, expand off-platform reach, and drive engagement with journalism while maintaining journalistic standards and independence.

Sell AgencyIQ professional subscriptions to life sciences and food industry organizations. Manage full sales cycle from cold outreach to close, schedule senior-level meetings, tailor presentations and proposals, maintain pipeline in Salesforce, use AI-enabled prospecting tools, and relay market feedback to product and commercial leadership.

Edit breaking news, newsletters, enterprise stories, live blogs, and long-form content for consumer and professional audiences. Fact-check and copy edit articles in the content management system, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to POLITICO and AP style. Optimize content for digital platforms and search, review multimedia and headlines, and collaborate with reporters and editorial teams. Provide flexible editing support during breaking news, major events, special projects, and staffing gaps.

Support POLITICO Pro and E&E News subscribers through inbound assistance, technical troubleshooting, onboarding, product adoption, engagement monitoring, feedback collection, relationship building, retention efforts, and identification of account growth opportunities. The role collaborates with Customer Success and Account Management teams and is based in Arlington, Virginia.

Serve as a strategic HR advisor to senior editorial leaders, driving workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and talent initiatives. Partner with TA, Total Rewards, HR Ops and Finance to align headcount, compensation and succession planning. Manage operational HR processes, document employee relations matters, use people analytics for retention, and implement scalable solutions for newsroom needs.

Lead regulatory research and analysis on European pharmaceuticals, biopharma and biotech. Produce regular intelligence articles, deep-dive research, webinars and subscriber briefings, and translate regulatory developments into industry impact assessments.

Provide substantive legal support across employment, data privacy, commercial contracts, IP, and litigation. Conduct legal research, draft memoranda and guidance, assist with privacy compliance (U.S. and EU), manage contracts and due diligence, support litigation document review, and help with project coordination and legal file maintenance under attorney supervision.

Lead regulatory intelligence coverage of drug product quality and compliance for AgencyIQ. Produce frequent written analyses, in-depth research, newsletters, webinars, and subscriber briefings; track FDA regulations, guidance, enforcement and compliance trends; analyze industry impact and deliver expert insights to regulatory professionals.

Manage digital client campaigns end-to-end: book, monitor, optimize, report, and bill. Serve as primary client POC, coordinate with internal teams (Ad Ops, Sales), build orders in the OMS, collect assets, recommend optimizations and upsell opportunities, and support special projects.

Lead paid and full-funnel growth campaigns to acquire first-party audiences and qualified leads across POLITICOs revenue lines. Plan, buy, and optimize paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic), use AI tools for campaign testing and optimization, analyze attribution and funnel metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive market- and product-specific growth.
