The Solution Engineer will engage with customers, develop proposals, optimize projects, and support early-stage project engineering in solar power applications.

Design, build, and lead development of automated equipment, robots, and complex mechatronic systems from concept through production. Integrate mechanical, electrical, sensing, and control components; develop electronics and wiring schematics; collaborate with software team; perform bring-up, calibration, testing, and system-level troubleshooting. Write software for sizing, data analysis, and automation, and support manufacturing handoff and design-for-production.

Design and develop Planted's solar racking system, lead projects from conception to assembly, perform analyses, and create automation tools for solar deployment.

Design and develop machines, robots, and structures as part of the R&D team, leading projects from concept through deployment and collaborating with engineers.

Senior hands-on builder responsible for electrical and mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and documentation of robotic vehicle platforms. Manage component sourcing, inventory, ECO implementation, and technical design improvements. Operate robots at Bay Area R&D site and travel up to 10% for field ECOs and maintenance.

Lead commercial and utility-scale solar projects (1–200+ MW) through pre-construction and construction. Manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, contracts, and risk. Coordinate EPCs, engineers, AHJs, procurement, and customers. Ensure quality, safety, and on-time project execution; prepare status reports and travel to sites as needed.
