Designs machines, robots, automated equipment, and mechanical structures from concept through first build and deployment. Responsibilities include developing system requirements, informing product architecture, performing structural and mechanical analyses, overseeing hardware testing, troubleshooting hands-on issues, and managing project schedules. The role supports development of autonomous power-deployment systems in a cross-functional startup environment.

Architect, design, analyze, build, and install novel solar racking systems. Own mechanical product development from concept through first build, using hand calculations, FEA, and CAD. Develop automation tools and equipment for large-scale solar deployment, generate innovative system and part-level solutions, troubleshoot hands-on issues, and manage project schedules in a rapidly changing startup environment.

Lead Planted’s Australian market entry and growth strategy for robotic, high-density solar deployment. Build relationships with developers, IPPs, EPCs, mining companies, industrial buyers, and government stakeholders; own opportunities through signed agreements; establish channel partnerships; defend techno-economic business cases; structure pricing and capacity commitments; and coordinate technical, regulatory, certification, and supply-chain decisions. Operate autonomously as the company’s primary Australian representative and transition signed deals to delivery teams.
