Provide technical assistance and outreach to landowners and partner agencies to promote and implement Farm Bill and related voluntary conservation programs. Duties include conservation planning, site assessments, contract coordination, habitat management recommendations, mapping and data entry, and supporting CRP, RIM, EQIP, and WIA enrollments. Work is primarily county-based with ~30% fieldwork and collaboration with NRCS, SWCDs, BWSR and Pheasants Forever.

Perform habitat management and maintenance at Perry Wildlife Management Area, including prescribed burning, mechanical tree removal, wetland/moist-soil management, herbicide use, food plot and native grass establishment, infrastructure repair, surveys and scientific counts, GIS-based permit and plan coordination, public outreach, procurement, and supervision/training of seasonal staff.

Perform habitat management and field surveys on public wildlife areas: prescribed burning, mechanical tree removal, planting, moist-soil wetland management, herbicide use, equipment and infrastructure maintenance, GIS-based permit and habitat plan coordination, procure supplies, supervise seasonal staff, assist biologists with surveys, and provide public outreach.

Conduct biological surveys and sampling, coordinate agricultural permits and habitat plans using GIS, procure supplies, supervise seasonal staff, and provide public outreach and training.

Work as part of a four-person crew implementing habitat management on private and public lands, including prescribed burning, herbicide application, native grass/forb and shrubby cover establishment, and timber stand improvement. Maintain and repair equipment, serve on burn crews, assist ecological and bird surveys, procure supplies, support outreach and training, and perform other habitat-related duties. Position requires occasional travel and irregular hours.

Coordinate and implement wildlife and range conservation programs (EQIP, CRP) with NRCS/FSA partners. Provide technical assistance, develop grazing/wildlife/prescribed-fire plans, complete contracts/applications, write burn plans, perform site assessments, and support habitat implementation and reporting for private landowners and partner organizations.

Perform on-the-ground wildlife management and habitat work (wetland and prairie management, seeding, mowing, brush/tree removal, prescribed burns), conduct wildlife surveys and biological data collection, follow up and contract IHAP/CRP sites, perform general area maintenance, occasionally travel overnight for large projects, and operate farm machinery, chainsaws, and firefighting equipment under supervision of the Wildlife Biologist.

Provide Tier 1-3 in-person and remote IT support for staff and volunteers; administer identities, Microsoft 365/Azure services, servers, endpoints, networking, security, backups and disaster recovery; manage assets and vendor relationships; document procedures, train users, and participate in projects and incident response. On-site at St. Paul headquarters with occasional after-hours and event support.

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and integrations using C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core. Build RESTful APIs, support Dynamics 365 and web platform integrations, implement data processing and background jobs (e.g., Azure Functions patterns), participate in CI/CD and DevOps, write tests, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The Coordinating Wildlife Biologist will manage habitat-related conservation efforts, provide technical assistance, and promote USDA Farm Bill programs while collaborating with various partners. Responsibilities include conservation planning, outreach, site assessments, and monitoring wildlife populations with a focus on private land conservation.

The Habitat Specialist will implement prescribed fire and habitat management, conduct wildlife surveys, procure supplies, and assist with training, focusing on habitat improvement.

The Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist will work with farmers to analyze operations for conservation solutions, optimize profitability, and develop economic scenarios for habitat improvement. Duties include customer relationship management, data entry, and organizing outreach events.
