Work as part of a four-person crew implementing habitat management on private and public lands, including prescribed burning, herbicide application, native grass/forb and shrubby cover establishment, and timber stand improvement. Maintain and repair equipment, serve on burn crews, assist ecological and bird surveys, procure supplies, support outreach and training, and perform other habitat-related duties. Position requires occasional travel and irregular hours.

Support NRCS easement administration and management: conduct annual and onsite monitoring, GPS inventories, photo documentation, create maps (Conservation Desktop, ArcGIS Pro), develop restoration plans and NEPA documentation, provide technical assistance to landowners and partners, and prepare outreach materials and reports.

Serve as the organization's regional face in South Dakota by supporting and growing local chapters, leading fundraising and membership efforts, launching and reinvigorating chapters, coordinating donor cultivation, organizing regional meetings, and collaborating across departments to deliver conservation outreach and volunteer engagement.

Work with USDA‑NRCS and partners to accelerate enrollment and implement Farm Bill conservation programs (CRP, CREP, SAFE, EQIP, CSP). Provide technical wildlife habitat assistance, prepare conservation plans and contracts, conduct outreach and trainings, perform site assessments, and coordinate with local partners and PF & QF chapters.

Provide technical wildlife habitat assistance to private landowners and partners through Farm Bill programs. Conduct site visits, eligibility determinations, conservation planning, contract document development, implementation support, training, outreach with local chapters, and program coordination with NRCS, IDNR, and partners.

Work with USDA-NRCS and partners to promote and implement Farm Bill conservation programs. Provide technical assistance to landowners, prepare conservation plans and assessments, manage contracts and eligibility, conduct outreach and trainings, coordinate with local chapters and partners, and support habitat enrollment and management.

Provide strategic and hands-on HR support for a 600+ employee organization: optimize HR processes, manage benefits and ADP enrollments, administer FMLA/leave, coordinate affirmative action and OSHA tracking, advise leaders, and support employee relations and communications.

Represent Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever across Southern Illinois, supporting and energizing local chapters and volunteers. Grow membership and fundraising, launch or reinvigorate chapters, coordinate donor cultivation with Development staff, organize regional meetings, and collaborate across departments to advance local habitat, education, and outreach efforts.
