Perform hands-on habitat management and maintenance on state and federal wildlife areas: wetland and prairie management, seeding, mowing, brush/tree removal, prescribed fire implementation, wildlife surveys and monitoring, and general area maintenance. Work includes use of farm machinery, power tools, occasional overnight travel, and physically demanding outdoor duties.

The role involves providing wildlife habitat technical assistance, preparing conservation plans, and promoting conservation programs through workshops and local partnerships.

Support Farm Bill conservation enrollment and implementation by developing conservation plans, advising landowners and partners, coordinating site assessments and eligibility, leading outreach, and supporting habitat management and trainings.
