The Manufacturing Process Engineer improves roasting plant performance by eliminating waste, reducing costs and variability, and increasing throughput, quality, safety, and reliability. Responsibilities include leading Lean and Kaizen events, conducting root-cause analysis, analyzing process data, implementing standard work, documenting improvements, measuring financial impact, supporting new equipment and processes, and training frontline teams in problem-solving methods.

Leads production planning and scheduling across daily, weekly, monthly, and long-range horizons. Balances customer demand, inventory, capacity, labor, equipment, materials, freshness, and service levels. Manages planning staff, master scheduling, MRP parameters, reporting, and production execution. Partners with supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and other functions to resolve issues, support new products, improve efficiency, and optimize capacity using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methods.

Manages end-to-end manufacturing capital projects from concept through commissioning across process, packaging, facilities, and utilities. Responsibilities include safety, quality, contractor and stakeholder management; engineering scoping; budgeting and CapEx forecasting; procurement and supplier coordination; design documentation; commissioning; qualification; verification; training; and project handover. This onsite Alameda role requires 30% travel to Emeryville and other U.S. supply chain sites.

Processes high-volume U.S. payroll, including off-cycle checks, garnishments, payroll GL reconciliations, audits, compliance tasks, inbox management, unclaimed property, reporting, and year-end activities. Uses Workday Payroll and D365 while supporting regular payroll processing, internal controls, and cross-functional projects. Requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, independent prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Lead and manage a regional DSD team of Route Sales Representatives and Independent Distributors to achieve sales, distribution, merchandising, and customer service targets; oversee route planning, marketing execution, budgeting, performance reviews, training, and safety; collaborate with account sales to grow key accounts.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives for Alameda roasting plant by running Lean/Kaizen events, developing KPIs, improving uptime and labor efficiency, implementing digital/AI solutions, training CI leaders, and delivering cost-savings and CAPEX support to drive operational excellence.
