Support multistate sales and use tax compliance including preparing returns, reviewing transactions, managing use tax accruals and reconciliations, supporting audits, maintaining exemption certificates, researching nexus and taxability, monitoring law changes, participating in process automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Lead onsite manufacturing operations at a 24-hour coffee roasting plant to meet safety, quality, and production targets. Manage supervisors and assistant managers across green coffee, roasting, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Drive continuous improvement (MOS/Autonomous Maintenance), cost and waste reduction, budget execution, KPI monitoring, employee development, and safety/culture change while supporting capital and capacity plans.

Lead and manage a regional DSD team of Route Sales Representatives and Independent Distributors to achieve sales, distribution, merchandising, and customer service targets; oversee route planning, marketing execution, budgeting, performance reviews, training, and safety; collaborate with account sales to grow key accounts.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives for Alameda roasting plant by running Lean/Kaizen events, developing KPIs, improving uptime and labor efficiency, implementing digital/AI solutions, training CI leaders, and delivering cost-savings and CAPEX support to drive operational excellence.

Trainee will complete a 12-month certification to become a Level 1 Roaster by learning roast theory, roast curve management, roasting equipment operation and maintenance, sensory cupping, inventory/WMS systems, and food safety. Duties include forklift certification, hands-on roasting under mentorship, quality control, and passing written and oral exams.

Provide employment law counsel to North America operations, advise on hiring/terminations, leaves and ADA accommodations, labor relations and union matters, manage employment litigation and agency charges, engage and oversee outside counsel, and develop legal training and policies to ensure compliance across cafes, plants, and distribution centers.

Support the Store Manager to drive sales and operations, coach and develop team members, assist with hiring and scheduling, manage inventory and cash handling, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety and labor standards.
