The role requires knowledge of utility-pole power and telecommunications placement, aerial fiber construction, OSP engineering workflows, and applicable NESC and utility-specific requirements.

Leads telecommunications outside plant projects from initiation through closure, managing revenue, scope, budgets, schedules, risks, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication. Maintains project data and milestones in Insite, coordinates internal, global, customer, and construction teams, conducts root-cause analysis, develops mitigation plans, and improves processes. The role also delegates work, facilitates meetings, mentors team members, and ensures quality service and timely delivery.

Engineer telecommunications central office, data center, and DC power installations. Create detailed engineering plans, documentation, and drawings; interpret network diagrams and site surveys; determine equipment placement, cabling, and power requirements; coordinate site surveys; research manufacturer specifications; and support equipment integration and testing. Responsibilities include safety planning (JHAs/RAs), crew leadership, inspecting and repairing composite and electrical/mechanical systems, and documenting work.

Ensure NESC and client standard compliance, perform field validation and QA/QC, manage budgets and KPIs, coordinate ROW/permits and joint-use/pole attachments, mentor junior staff, and produce sealed engineering plans, splicing diagrams, loss budgets, BOMs, and as-builts.
