Responsible for end-to-end financial accounting and compliance across multiple markets, including month-end close, reconciliations, statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit support, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting. The role partners with finance teams and external advisors, maintains balance sheet integrity, supports process improvements and automation, and contributes to finance transformation initiatives.

Lead product strategy and roadmap for payment and card-processing solutions. Conduct market research and data analysis, define requirements and user stories, collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams, oversee delivery and launches, track KPIs, and engage customers to iterate and optimise products—with emphasis on the South African market.

Partners with global leaders and managers to improve leadership capability, performance, talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, change management, culture, and engagement. Provides coaching, manages complex people matters across jurisdictions, uses workforce insights to guide decisions, and develops scalable people practices in a growing, distributed technology organization.

Act as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise clients, advising on implementation, optimisation, scalability and payment data management. Build and maintain client relationships, conduct technical assessments, proactively monitor environments, lead escalations and incident post-mortems, and coordinate with Support, Product and Engineering to deliver solutions and enable customer success.

Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close for assigned markets; prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and statutory financial statements; manage VAT/GST and corporate tax compliance; support audits; handle intercompany and transfer pricing processes; partner with finance functions to improve processes and drive automation.

Investigate and process card chargeback claims across global networks: validate transaction data, draft and submit scheme-compliant responses, provide guidance to clients and stakeholders, and ensure regulatory and card-scheme compliance throughout the dispute lifecycle.
