Coordinates molecular pathology cases and specimen workflows across laboratory departments. Triages, sorts, accessiones, labels, scans, and processes specimens and documentation; manages specialty samples, paraffin blocks, add-on testing, and reference testing shipments. Performs accurate patient data entry, handles client inquiries, follows laboratory safety procedures, and adheres to corporate compliance policies.

Examines gynecological and non-gynecological slides to identify diseased, pre-malignant, and malignant cells. Records findings and screening data, troubleshoots testing issues, maintains instruments, supports laboratory QA/QC programs, follows safety and regulatory procedures, and protects patient and company information.

Supports daily human resources operations, including HRMS data maintenance, personnel action processing, onboarding and termination administration, policy interpretation, employment-law compliance, relocation reimbursement review, and unemployment claim responses. The role also assists with HRIS projects, special initiatives, and regulatory requirements related to protecting sensitive employee and health information.

Supports molecular laboratory operations by receiving, tracking, preparing, centrifuging, aliquoting, testing, and archiving specimens. Loads analyzers, maintains pending lists and turnaround times, handles client concerns, disposes of waste, follows laboratory safety and regulatory procedures, and protects sensitive health information. May perform waived or moderate-complexity testing after training and competency validation, and experienced assistants may train newer staff.

Performs independent, high-complexity molecular diagnostic testing, including specimen processing, analysis, result interpretation and reporting. Troubleshoots instruments and methods, validates new methods, maintains inventory, supports CAP surveys, and contributes to QA/QC programs. Ensures laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, data security, and accurate patient results while addressing client concerns and communicating issues to leadership.

Administers employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, short- and long-term disability, and workers’ compensation coordination. Manages leave cases from initiation through return to work, reviews documentation, maintains HRIS records, adjusts benefits and timecards, supports payroll, and ensures regulatory compliance. Communicates with employees and managers, trains supervisors, generates compliance reports, manages terminations, protects confidential information, and handles a high-volume caseload.

Processes and prepares clinical specimens, operates laboratory automation, performs accessioning, data entry, specimen tracking, microbiology inoculations, clerical tasks, and client communications. Ensures accurate specimen handling, referral testing timelines, documentation retention, laboratory safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance while supporting daily laboratory operations.

Performs histology laboratory support activities, including coordinating surgical paperwork and slides, managing orders, loading stainers, retrieving and filing slides and tissue blocks, packaging materials for outside facilities, printing labels, cleaning, maintaining equipment, and following laboratory safety, confidentiality, compliance, and security procedures.

Retains and expands existing pathology clients by ensuring satisfaction, resolving concerns, improving communication, supporting payor contract implementation, conducting market analyses, distributing educational materials, and generating new business. The role serves as the liaison between clients and pathologists, supports client loyalty and market share growth, and follows healthcare privacy, security, and corporate compliance requirements.

Provides general surgical pathology and cytopathology sign-out, including frozen sections, intraoperative consultations, breast, GI, GU, non-gynecologic cytology, and FNAs. Oversees clinical pathology operations, quality assurance, laboratory accreditation, tumor boards, and clinical conferences. The role requires collaboration with medical and laboratory teams in a CAP-accredited hospital, with local hybrid work supported by digital pathology.

Lead technical design and delivery of software projects across the SDLC. Mentor developers, collaborate with product and IT leadership, integrate AI tools, drive DevOps and process improvements, ensure PHI/security compliance, and present performance findings to senior leadership while participating in agile ceremonies.

Manage cross-functional implementation projects from requirements through deployment. Own project plans, timelines, scope, budgets, stakeholder communication, status reporting, and coordination with developers, QA, BAs, and client integration teams. Ensure documentation, training resources, compliance with privacy/security and PHI protections, and occasional onsite travel for local implementations.

Lead continuous improvement in anatomic and clinical pathology labs using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Identify inefficiencies, run Kaizen events, standardize workflows, track KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance, coach staff, manage hiring, training, and performance, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive cost savings and operational acceleration.

Screens gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, documents slide interpretations, processes routine and special stains, troubleshoots equipment and preparations, distributes completed materials to pathologists, and follows safety, regulatory, confidentiality, and quality procedures. The role also supports employee training, technician mentoring, cross-training, and accurate patient-material handling.

Supervise HR Generalists and Representatives while supporting employee relations, investigations, counseling, onboarding, HR data integrity, learning management, training, performance reviews, and HR process administration. Advise supervisors on employment policies and regulations, manage HR systems and audits, analyze workforce data, and support compliance with EEO, ADA, privacy, security, and corporate requirements. Assist the Director of HRIS with HR initiatives and special projects.
