The role requires strong C++ and Python skills, object-oriented design, CI/CD, Git, and Agile practices, with preferred experience in Arm, SIMD, Kubernetes, MATLAB, and 4G/5G standards.

Research, invent, model, simulate, and prototype PHY/RF algorithms for next-generation cellular radio products. Apply AI/ML to signal-processing challenges such as digital predistortion, channel estimation, interference classification, and beamforming. Perform performance and implementation trade-off analysis, develop algorithms targeted for RTL, create specifications, and support implementation, integration, validation, and product release in collaboration with architecture, firmware, hardware, and systems teams.

Leads PHY and RF system engineering for next-generation Open RAN base stations. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, optimizing PHY algorithms, integrating PHY components with hardware, software, and DSP subsystems, building automation and testing tools, using AI-assisted development workflows, conducting lab validation, and mentoring junior engineers.

Leads RF optimization activities for Open RAN projects, including KPI and physical optimization, configuration management, drive-test analysis, feature testing, field parameter changes, test execution, customer communication, and coordination with development, product, project, and field teams. Serves as the RF optimization subject matter expert and provides technical leadership across projects.

Lead the architecture, development, optimization, testing, and production support of LTE Layer 1 PHY software for carrier-grade Open RAN systems. Drive real-time performance, debugging, and technical roadmaps while mentoring engineers and collaborating across MAC, systems, integration, QA, and product teams. Own the non-real-time machine learning capabilities for network intelligence. Define system requirements and high-level designs, optimize PHY algorithms, and serve as the focal point for system, PHY, and RF activities. Collaborate across hardware, software, FPGA, and RF teams, perform hands-on laboratory testing, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor junior engineers.

Own the architecture, reliability, and performance of a sub-second Near-RT RIC telecom platform spanning C, C++, Go, protocols, messaging, Redis, and 50+ microservices. Lead protocol upgrades, migrations, and cross-team technical initiatives; establish architectural standards; resolve cross-service issues; review latency- and safety-critical designs; and mentor engineers. The role requires deep distributed-systems expertise, concurrency knowledge, Linux debugging, protocol handling, and experience leading complex systems into production.

Leads the technical strategy, architecture, and implementation of scalable automation infrastructure.
