Lead and grow a small data team while remaining hands-on in data engineering, analytics engineering, and infrastructure. Own data strategy, warehouse architecture, pipelines, modeling, and self-serve analytics. Partner cross-functionally to deliver trusted metrics, experimentation, and applied ML capabilities (search, recommendations, personalization). Drive adoption of data quality, documentation, self-service, and modern data practices.

The Staff Software Engineer will lead initiatives in building a full-stack educational platform, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product and Design teams.

Handle escalated support tickets from parents and teachers via email, investigate ambiguous situations, make independent judgment calls, occasionally manage Trust & Safety issues involving sensitive content, communicate outcomes clearly, and share feedback with the CX team.

Own and scale Outschool's paid search and emerging ad channels (Google, Bing, ChatGPT). Execute keyword strategy, campaign architecture, bidding/automation, Performance Max, and day-to-day campaign ops. Use AI to speed workflows, build dashboards, run A/B tests, analyze performance, and collaborate cross-functionally on attribution, landing pages, and audience signals to hit CAC and acquisition goals.
