Creates short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social channels. Develops hooks, scripts, talking points, storyboards, and edited videos; appears on camera; tracks trends; and presents civic and policy topics accurately and nonpartisanly. Collaborates with writers, designers, and podcast staff to repurpose content, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines. The role is remote and unpaid, with a semester commitment.

Creates and edits concise content for media and marketing initiatives, including civic education posts, podcast descriptions, promotional copy, captions, scripts, and summaries. The intern researches and adapts complex information into accessible, engaging, accurate writing while maintaining ONC’s nonpartisan voice. Responsibilities include proofreading, incorporating feedback, collaborating remotely with writers, producers, designers, and leadership, and meeting deadlines.

Oversee ONC’s Graphic Design Team by delegating work, coordinating projects, providing creative direction, coaching interns, reviewing designs, and maintaining brand quality and consistency. The role requires leading remote meetings, communicating through Slack, email, and Zoom, managing deadlines, and conducting design critiques. This is an unpaid, remote internship with a preferred six-month commitment.

Leads a remote Community Events team supporting speaker series, campus outreach, networking events, and college chapters. Responsibilities include delegating work, managing deadlines, coordinating speakers and event logistics, maintaining communications and calendars, coaching interns, leading meetings, reporting progress, and improving event operations. The role is unpaid, remote, and requires commitment through the current semester.

Produces ONC podcast episodes by researching outlines, writing, recording, editing, and publishing content. Creates episode titles, thumbnails, short-form reels, and platform descriptions, while developing audience targeting and engagement strategies. Collaborates remotely through Slack, email, and Zoom, meets content-calendar deadlines, and supports podcast reach through social media and marketing ideas.

Writes political content, including OpEds and policy proposals, while supporting ONC’s nonpartisan mission. Collaborates with writers across ideological perspectives, participates in civil dialogue, podcasts, events, and weekly meetings, and maintains consistent communication in a remote environment. The intern must produce high-quality work, meet deadlines, and demonstrate interest in one or more policy areas. Exceptional writers may contribute to a book project.

Supports the Human Resources team by screening applicants, scheduling interviews, coordinating intern and volunteer onboarding and offboarding, maintaining confidential paperwork, and assisting with HR projects. The remote intern collaborates with HR leadership through Zoom and Slack, attends at least one weekly meeting, and is preferred to commit 10 hours weekly for six months.
