Collaboration is key

Caitlin has been with OTR for almost 9 years. She helps oversee the due diligence and risk management checks to ensure that when a client is onboarded with OTR, the funding process is as seamless and easy as possible. Her favorite part of the job? Daily team collaboration. "I may be biased, but our team operates like a well-oiled machine. One of Underwriting’s main tasks is helping trucking companies transition from their current or previous factoring company over to OTR. Recently, we had a client leave OTR and come back in less than two weeks! They realized their new factor could not provide the service they had here."

For Ryan Goodrich, the greatest aspect of his job isn’t simply having the chance to use cloud-native technologies. The way in which employees are empowered to leverage these tools is what’s most exciting. “We challenge our technologists to determine the right tool to use to solve a problem, and we give them space to develop the best possible solutions,” Goodrich said. In his mind, all of this modern innovation is made possible by the company’s position in its field. “No other player in freight has the omnichannel access to information that we do,” Goodrich said.

Coming together to grow and have fun

Cody Laluyan doesn’t feel like he’s just a number at OTR Solutions. “I feel a sense of community here, and everybody knows who I am,” he said. The company offers employees plenty of ways to shape the workplace, including through internal committees such as Diversity in Logistics. Yet for Laluyan, the company’s greatest cultural initiative is Tournament of Champions, which enables team members to spend a day participating in field games, such as giant Jenga. He said the annual event has been a hit since it first took place two years ago, bringing together employees from across the company.
