Leads perioperative nursing operations across Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, and PACU in an ambulatory surgery setting. Oversees patient safety, nursing standards, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, staffing, recruitment, performance management, supplies, pharmacy functions, registration, payroll, and cost control. Partners with physicians and leadership to improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, accreditation readiness, and operational efficiency.

Identify, evaluate, pilot, and scale AI use cases across Epic, Workday, and Microsoft ecosystems; manage vendor relationships; oversee pilots, change management, team building, compliance (HIPAA), and executive reporting to deliver measurable business impact.

Provide perioperative nursing care in a hospital-based orthopedic operating room: circulate cases, prepare rooms and instruments, verify safety protocols, monitor intraoperative patients, document care, assist inventory, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team. Participate in on-call rotation and weekend/holiday coverage.

Provide urgent orthopedic-focused care for patients of all ages in walk-in clinics: examine, diagnose, order/interpret tests, perform fracture reductions, laceration repair, joint injections, manage emergencies, consult physicians, complete medical documentation, travel between facilities, and work weekend/evening shifts as needed.

Document patient chief complaint, history, review of systems, physical exam findings, comorbidities, medications/allergies, and physician assessment/plan with accuracy and completeness in orthopedic clinical encounters.

Serve as the clinic's first point of contact: manage registration desk, answer phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance and obtain authorizations, collect payments, provide administrative support, coordinate with billing and clinical staff, and maintain office operations to ensure excellent patient service.

Document patient encounters in real time for orthopedic clinicians, including HPI, ROS, physical exam findings, assessment and plan. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation while supporting provider efficiency and maintaining patient confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Coordinate DME program operations at assigned clinic(s): perform measurements/fittings, manage inventory, educate patients on use and financial responsibility, liaise with providers and billing/preauthorization teams, assist training, and ensure policy compliance and timely billing.

Coordinates and schedules surgical and diagnostic procedures, verifies insurance and precertifications, communicates with patients, physicians and facilities, documents medications and orders, assists with coding and charge sheets, and supports on-call physician processes. Performs administrative and clinical-support tasks to ensure surgeries and tests are properly prepared and documented.

Serve as the clinic front-line contact handling patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification/authorizations, co-pay collection, administrative support, coordination with clinical and billing staff, and maintaining efficient office operations and excellent customer service.

Provide clinic and operating room care for spine patients: perform physical exams, order diagnostics, implement and document treatment plans, manage preoperative assessments and perioperative education, monitor and medicate patients per policy, coordinate surgical scheduling, and support continuity of care across physician visits and facilities.

Record patient chief complaints, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam findings, medications and allergies. Document pertinent positives/negatives and abnormalities. Capture physician assessment and plan at the appropriate level of complexity and support orthopedic care teams with accurate clinical documentation.
