Leads end-to-end implementation and launch of rare disease specialty pharmacy programs, pharmaceutical products, patient support services, and manufacturer partnerships. Manages project governance, timelines, risks, stakeholder communications, operational readiness, training, workflows, reporting, KPIs, and post-launch stabilization. Serves as the primary manufacturer contact and coordinates cross-functional teams across pharmacy, clinical operations, patient services, technology, compliance, quality, finance, and analytics.

Serves as a key liaison for assigned drug programs, coordinating with prescribers, patients, manufacturer representatives, field teams, and internal specialty pharmacy staff. Provides case status updates, obtains information for patient orders, expedites processing, resolves escalated issues, and supports referral process improvements. The role requires strong communication, customer service, prioritization, issue resolution, multitasking, and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.

Supports manufacturer programs and therapies by coordinating with manufacturers, HUB/case management, prescribers, and patients. Provides patient status updates, leads manufacturer calls, resolves escalated reimbursement issues, prepares reports, and helps expedite orders to meet program requirements.

Leads account and program management for specialty pharmacy launches, coordinating Program Management and Operations teams to ensure successful pre- and post-launch execution. Uses data to identify trends, resolve challenges, optimize processes, and improve client service. Manages manufacturer partnerships, provides strategic insights, and leads, mentors, and develops the Program Management team. Supports quarterly business reviews, manufacturer meetings, and other business engagements.

Manages manufacturer accounts and specialty pharmacy therapy programs, including drug launches, contractual deliverables, KPIs, reporting, and issue resolution. Leads cross-functional teams to design clinical and operational processes, educate healthcare staff, improve specialty pharmacy performance, and grow manufacturer partnerships. Prepares business review materials and travels for quarterly reviews, implementations, partner meetings, and other engagements.

Dispense prescriptions and coordinate clinical services for specialty pharmacy patients. Advise physicians on drug therapy, verify orders and data entry, supervise pharmacy technicians, ensure regulatory compliance, assess medication histories, educate patients/caregivers, manage therapy care plans, and participate in on-call rotation.

Validate patient insurance, convert prescriptions into prior authorization requests, obtain clinical documentation from physician offices, initiate and follow up on PAs via CoverMyMeds, obtain approvals/denials, and meet daily KPIs in a fast-paced hybrid environment.

Verify patient benefits across medical and pharmacy plans, troubleshoot claim rejections, obtain prior authorizations, perform monthly re-verifications, and collaborate with accounts receivable to resolve benefit issues.
