Part-time/contract CFO providing strategic financial leadership to client companies: oversee month/quarter/year-end close, financial reporting, audits, budgets, cash flow and financing, forecasting and predictive models, implement accounting systems and controls, manage banking and external auditors, mentor and manage accounting staff, work with boards, and recommend best practices to improve financial operations.

Prepare and consolidate financial statements, maintain general ledger and automated consolidation systems, record entries, manage payables/receivables, reconcile accounts, support M&A accounting, and develop/improve accounting procedures while maintaining confidentiality and client communication.

Manage monthly close, AP, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, audits, cash flow and budgeting. Develop policies, lead accounting staff, support tax and ERP implementations, and provide client-facing financial analysis and mentoring.

Manage general accounting and bookkeeping functions, supervise accounting staff, maintain G/L, prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, cash flow projections, fixed assets, inventory roll forwards, margin analysis, and communicate with customers about past-due invoices.

Lead and oversee accounting department including financial statements, general ledger, payroll, AR/AP, budgeting, taxes and month-end close. Supervise accounting staff, implement internal controls, liaise with auditors/CPAs, perform reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and provide financial analysis and reporting for management and clients.

Manage bookkeeping and office administrative duties including A/P, A/R, cash management, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, journal entries, collection calls, and client support activities.

Process full-cycle payroll (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly); implement and configure payroll systems; onboard new hires and process terminations; manage benefits, accruals, tax amendments, 401(k)/FSA/HSA contributions and EDD correspondence; reconcile benefit billing; ensure CA and federal wage/hour compliance; provide client-facing payroll consulting and support multiple projects to strict deadlines.

Perform full-cycle accounting tasks including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial statement preparation, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll processing, audit support, invoicing, and client communication. Manage multiple client engagements with accuracy and confidentiality.
