Serves as a technical specialist for cable and connectivity products within an assigned market. Drives sales by supporting sales teams, developing relationships with engineers, contractors, installers, integrators, distributors, and customers, conducting sales calls, delivering presentations, attending trade shows, and providing product and market training. Coordinates with engineering teams, supports compliance, maintains customer relationships, and travels at least 50% of the time within the territory.

Generates and manages sales opportunities, processes orders, prepares quotes, follows up with prospects and customers, conducts needs analyses, and recommends technical solutions. Coordinates with outside sales, business development, marketing, engineering, finance, and shipping teams to close sales and resolve customer issues. Maintains strong customer relationships, supports proposals, communicates product benefits, and ensures accurate, compliant pricing and service.

Provides administrative and clerical support for sales operations, including order entry validation, customer program administration, renewals, export compliance checks, reporting, and paperwork coordination. Serves as backup front desk support by managing calls, visitors, badges, and entrance security. Supports RMA, customer complaints, finance programs, and other departments while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, SOX compliance, and service excellence.

Manages government and private contract administration, compliance, customer responses, certifications, and contract-related programs. Leads cross-functional teams, interprets FAR and DFARS requirements, oversees schedules and budgets, identifies compliance risks, and communicates changes to leadership and sales. The role also develops contractual documents, project plans, procedures, and customer correspondence while coordinating with engineering, operations, HR, IT, suppliers, and customers. Some travel to company facilities, suppliers, test facilities, and customer locations is required.

Performs tax accounting and general ledger activities, including preparing tax returns and schedules, reviewing payroll matters, creating journal entries and workpapers, reconciling accounts, completing period-end close tasks, and compiling financial data. The role supports financial reporting and tax compliance, manages confidential information, communicates with employees, and applies accounting, tax, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Occasional overnight or out-of-state travel may be required.

Leads corporate procurement and strategic sourcing across three manufacturing locations. Develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier selection and qualification, negotiates contracts, mitigates supply chain risks, supports new product introductions, ensures SOX and ISO compliance, and leads procurement personnel. Partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, Finance, and Operations to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, maintain continuity, and standardize procurement processes.

Operates respooling equipment to select, respool, stripe, cut, print, and inspect fiber optic cables. Removes defective cable jackets, performs fiber dashing, identifies production defects, makes corrections or escalates issues, completes job documentation, and follows safety and quality procedures. The role requires standing, manual dexterity, color vision, hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a production environment.

Supports the SYSPRO ERP environment and related business applications across manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, finance, and customer service. Troubleshoots issues, analyzes processes, configures functionality, develops reports and dashboards, supports testing and integrations, maintains documentation, trains users, and assists with data validation, security administration, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Works with end users, IT teams, and software vendors to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
