Build and operate production AI systems from prototype through deployment and monitoring. Translate business workflows into reliable LLM-powered tools, develop prompts, retrieval logic, evaluation harnesses, and integrations, and establish governance and deployment patterns. The Controls Engineer deploys and configures control systems for Battery Energy Storage projects, supports commissioning, troubleshoots PLC logic, and collaborates with various engineering teams.

Designs and operates AWS cloud security foundations across multi-account environments, including guardrails, centralized logging, IAM, and infrastructure-as-code controls. Secures hybrid connectivity between AWS and plants, BESS sites, and remote assets through segmentation, VPNs, firewalls, and identity controls. Builds threat detection and response using AWS security services, manages vulnerability prioritization and remediation SLAs, and establishes security review gates, runbooks, access reviews, and exception processes. Monitor competitors, products, pricing, positioning, regulatory developments, supply chains, and macro trends. Build forecasting and market-sizing models, create briefs and dashboards, advise product and engineering roadmaps, and present recurring insights to executive stakeholders.

Owns the cybersecurity architecture, tooling, monitoring, identity, access, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance assurance for OT/ICS environments supporting grid-connected energy assets. Designs IEC 62443-aligned segmentation, manages industrial IDS and asset inventories, defines SCADA and controller security requirements, oversees PKI and remote access, validates site acceptance evidence, and supports NERC CIP and utility security reviews.

Design and standardize segmented OT/SCADA networks for AI data center UPS and mission-critical energy projects. Responsibilities include zoning, routing, switching, redundancy, VPNs, IT/OT separation, DMZs, firewalls, dataflows, industrial protocol support, equipment selection, documentation, commissioning, and security architecture aligned with IEC 62443. The role collaborates with engineering, IT, cloud, electrical, vendors, and procurement teams, and requires occasional site travel for commissioning and factory acceptance testing.

Leads site-level execution of battery energy storage and hybrid energy projects for data centers. Manages mobilization, construction planning, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, risks, safety, quality, commissioning coordination, change orders, inspections, client communications, and project closeout. Ensures site activities meet contractual, safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements while coordinating turnover documentation and commissioning readiness.

Supports the design, integration, and execution of laboratory and field tests for high-power converters, battery energy storage systems, and control architectures. Operates electrical test equipment, analyzes failures and test data, prepares electrical documentation, supports component selection, and assists with equipment integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and field validation. The role also develops skills in MATLAB/Simulink, PLC programming, HIL testing, power electronics, and grid-forming and grid-following systems.

Senior technical advisor for R&D technology scouting, evaluation, and innovation strategy in energy storage and power infrastructure. Develops technology rubrics, stage-gate criteria, supplier scorecards, techno-economic models, systems integration assessments, and pilot programs. Evaluates BESS, inverters, controls, grid integration, UPS, and data center power technologies while advising leadership on build-buy-partner decisions. Creates Python, MATLAB, Excel, and AI-assisted tools, technical briefs, risk analyses, and executive recommendations supported by supplier, laboratory, and market diligence.

Lead architecture and technical authority for grid-connected inverters and converter controls for MW-scale systems. Define engineering standards, ensure compliance with grid and UPS standards, manage vendor relationships, support proposals and commissioning, mentor engineers, and drive product improvements from design through field operation.
