Conduct confidential background investigations and criminal history searches for employees, partners, vendors, and volunteers in child welfare and child care programs. Collect and verify records, contact courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement, coordinate fingerprint investigations with OSBI and Idemia, capture fingerprints using Livescan, maintain databases, review requests, answer calls, and provide technical support to child care and welfare stakeholders.

Directs and supervises the Child Welfare background investigations program, managing staff responsible for accurate criminal history determinations and background checks. Oversees quality improvement, policy and procedure development, training, process enhancements, and legislative impact reviews. Maintains collaboration with Child Welfare Services, supports customer service, and may serve as a legislative liaison. The position requires occasional travel, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and weekday evening work with possible on-call, extended, or weekend hours.

Provides case management services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Conducts social histories, coordinates community and agency resources, serves as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional, monitors programs monthly, and ensures compliance with federal waiver regulations, state requirements, and agency policies. Extensive travel is required, along with a valid driver’s license and required car insurance.
