Lead strategic sourcing, tendering and contract implementation across spend portfolios. Provide commercial advice to stakeholders, run tenders/mini-competitions under frameworks, secure savings, manage contract and risk, collaborate with public bodies, and support high-complexity or high-value projects while ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.

Lead efforts to make Ofcom's data more accessible and AI-ready, analyse large and unstructured datasets using statistical and ML methods, design dashboards and visualisations, translate findings for technical and non-technical audiences, gather stakeholder requirements, and manage analytical projects to timely delivery.

Manage identification, recruitment and end-to-end relationships with influencers and partner organisations to communicate Ofcom policy (particularly online safety). Scope and shortlist partners using research tools, conduct due diligence, negotiate terms and contracts, collaborate with internal teams on messaging, and measure reach and impact.

Lead Ofcom's horizon scanning, organisational strategy and major cross‑cutting projects. Provide strategic advice across policy areas (online and broadcasting), represent Ofcom externally, and lead and develop high‑performing teams to deliver long‑term outcomes.

Develop and implement policy for post, broadband, mobile and digital communications. Lead workstreams, gather and analyse evidence, engage stakeholders, contribute to policy options with specialists, and draft internal and published documents tailored to varied audiences.

Lead technical research and advisory work on technologies underpinning online services to support Ofcom's online safety objectives. Provide expert technical guidance on AI/ML moderation systems, encryption, privacy, and network architectures; design and manage research projects and experiments; assess regulatory feasibility and platform implications; produce analytical outputs for senior decision-makers; and build internal and external relationships to inform policy and regulatory approaches.

Lead day-to-day management and delivery of online safety projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to plan, structure and deliver milestones. Manage risks, resources and dependencies; surface and resolve blockers; provide governance reporting and escalate as needed. Oversee junior colleagues, support development, and ensure standards, deadlines and stakeholder expectations are met across policy, compliance and implementation workstreams.

Lead development of online safety regulatory policy: gather evidence, analyse complex issues, draft guidance, manage cross‑functional projects, engage stakeholders and senior leaders, and deliver policy proposals addressing AI, age assurance, recommender systems and content moderation.

Support development and delivery of Ofcom's online safety policies. Research and analyse evidence, draft policy documents and recommendations, assess options and risks, provide project management support, and collaborate with legal, technical, economic and research colleagues to protect users from harmful and illegal online content.
