Teams at New-Indy Containerboard, LLC

Manages capital and major expense projects in an industrial manufacturing environment. Develops scopes, estimates, budgets, schedules, vendor recommendations, procurement plans, and project status reports. Coordinates engineering, operations, maintenance, and support teams while minimizing production disruption. Performs engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with codes, company policies, and safety standards. Reviews costs, monitors performance, and recommends corrective actions for project variances.

Plans and schedules industrial maintenance activities, including annual and periodic paper machine shutdowns. Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance work, manages parts and repair resources, tracks maintenance metrics, supports root cause failure analysis, and facilitates planning meetings between operations and mechanical and electrical teams to improve plant reliability, safety, cost management, and production flow.

Assists the Safety Manager with workplace health and safety programs at a manufacturing mill. Conducts safety training, audits OSHA and regulatory compliance, monitors adherence to procedures, recommends improvements, enters safety observations and work orders, supports safety projects, maintains safety equipment, and participates in safety committee meetings. The role involves physically demanding work in a loud industrial environment with exposure to machinery, temperature extremes, wet conditions, and occasional hazards.
