Provides specialized, holistic nursing care for patients and families, including assessment, care planning, emergency treatment, documentation, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and patient advocacy. Supports quality and risk management, staff allocation, training, mentoring, policy development, and safe use of clinical resources. Requires professional registration with the South African Nursing Council and knowledge of general and specialized nursing practices.

The AEA role involves operational efficiencies, client liaison, and quality service in emergency care while ensuring documentation and compliance.

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to haematology patients under Registered Nurse supervision. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning and evaluation, accurate documentation, infection prevention, risk and waste management, equipment control, patient communication, quality improvement, and maintaining professional standards. The nurse also supports ENA training, teamwork, stakeholder relationships, and ongoing professional development, including CPR competency.

Provides specialized scrub nursing care in a theatre complex, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, documentation, emergency treatment, and multidisciplinary coordination. Supports patient advocacy, quality and risk management, staff allocation, mentoring, in-service training, policy development, equipment and supply utilization, and adoption of electronic clinical systems. Requires professional registration with the South African Nursing Council and at least two years of theatre-complex experience.

Provides direct and indirect psychiatric and physical nursing care under Registered Nurse supervision. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, crisis intervention, therapeutic relationships, ECT preparation and recovery, emergency response, documentation, health education, infection prevention, resource control, and supervision of Enrolled Nurse Auxiliaries and healthcare workers.
