Schedules anesthesia cases, clinician shifts, appointments, and facility coverage while answering calls and performing administrative duties. Maintains daily and monthly schedules, communicates with physicians, clinicians, hospitals, and staff, fills urgent openings, reconciles clinician hours for payroll, prepares reports, updates scheduling information, and trains clinicians on scheduling protocols. The role requires patient confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, customer service, and occasional after-hours on-call support.

Provides full-scope anesthesia care at Medical City Arlington, covering general, regional, OB, GI, orthopedic, cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, urology, and cath lab cases. Performs spinals, epidurals, nerve blocks, and arterial or central lines under primarily 1:3 medical supervision. Participates in a busy OB service, independent practice development, teaching, and training. PRN shifts are available in eight- and ten-hour formats.

Posts insurance and patient payments to accounts, reconciles deposits, processes refunds, researches unidentified or suspended payments, matches EFT and ERA files, resolves discrepancies, and reviews payment batches. The role requires understanding revenue cycle processes, payer contracts, reimbursement policies, medical terminology, and CPT, ICD-9, and ASA coding, along with strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and confidentiality skills.

Coordinate and optimize physician and CRNA schedules across sites, manage daily staffing, call and shift assignments, track credentialing and attendance, maintain scheduling software, communicate updates to staff and hospital partners, and generate staffing/utilization reports to ensure compliant, continuous patient care.

Lead and manage the coding team to ensure accurate, compliant anesthesia and pain management coding. Oversee training, audits, productivity, documentation, compliance, process improvement, and reporting while supporting internal/external audits and provider education.

Collects outstanding patient and payer balances by contacting insurance companies and patients, processing appeals, auditing accounts, working AR queues, meeting productivity and accuracy targets, and maintaining confidentiality while using MS Office and billing/coding knowledge.
