Leads strategic, executive, internal, and external communications for Audubon's conservation mission. Develops speeches, talking points, statements, op-eds, briefing materials, messaging, communication plans, and change-management strategies. Partners with senior leaders and conservation teams, manages sensitive communications, supports thought leadership and media opportunities, translates complex issues into compelling narratives, and ensures consistent enterprise messaging. The role is hybrid and requires occasional domestic and international travel.

Supports Audubon’s Conservation Ranching Program through outreach event coordination, communications, social media, stakeholder meetings, data collection, surveys, reporting, and field site visits. The intern gains experience in bird conservation, rangeland management, regenerative agriculture, community engagement, teaching, and curriculum development. The hybrid role involves frequent travel to the Sacramento office, occasional travel throughout California, and potential outdoor work in variable conditions and rugged terrain.

The Urban Conservation Intern supports urban tree planting, habitat restoration, avian conservation science, and community engagement across New Orleans and surrounding regions. Responsibilities include planting and maintaining native trees, removing invasive species, collecting ecological data through community science programs, educating volunteers and communities, supporting outreach events, and contributing to project reporting, budgeting, procurement, and communications. The role is primarily on-site and involves sustained outdoor work in varied conditions.

Serve as Audubon's lead scientific advisor on Lake Okeechobee and the Northern Everglades, evaluating ecological and hydrologic data, informing restoration and water management policy, representing Audubon in technical forums, producing technical materials, mentoring staff, and engaging stakeholders to improve conservation outcomes.

The Director will lead Audubon's water conservation strategy for the Mississippi River, overseeing projects, managing partnerships, and engaging in policy efforts. Responsibilities include developing strategies for habitat protection, building coalitions, securing funding, and acting as a spokesperson for conservation initiatives.

Lead Audubon’s Next Generation initiative by unifying youth and early-career programs into a cohesive pipeline; manage the campus chapters team; oversee K–12 engagement, internships, fellowships, and workforce pathways; expand chapters internationally; set and track metrics (scale, equity, retention); build partnerships, support conferences and philanthropy, and collaborate across regions.

Lead habitat restoration and land management across Aullwood's 200-acre sanctuary; supervise staff, interns and volunteers; manage livestock ambassador care and grazing plans; plan and implement restoration projects, invasive species control, and equipment operations; develop budgets and grant proposals; coordinate volunteers, public programming, and partnerships; ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and reporting.

Manage accounting and compliance for a portfolio of domestic and international grants, prepare reports and variance analyses, support audits and NICRA preparation, maintain grant budgets and receivables, train finance staff, and partner with program teams to ensure GAAP and Uniform Guidance compliance.

Lead and manage IT security operations including incident response, security tool administration, vulnerability management, IAM (IdP/MFA/SSO), security policy and compliance (ISO 27000, PCI), security awareness training, vendor security reviews, and coordination with cloud and network teams to protect systems and data.

Work with landowners and partners to enroll private lands in working-lands programs, develop and implement habitat management plans, provide technical assistance, conduct outreach and workshops, support grant reporting, and promote grassland bird and rangeland conservation in the Northern Great Plains.

Manage pre- and post-award grant activities including budgeting, reimbursement requests, compliance with Uniform Guidance and state rules, financial tracking, reporting, subrecipient monitoring, and cross-team coordination. Provide monthly grant status reports, support invoicing and closeouts, maintain grant files, and suggest process improvements while working hybrid from the Roseville, MN office.

Provide on-site administrative and financial operations support for Audubon Great Plains, including gift processing, AP/AR, contract administration, grant assistance, event and travel logistics, donor record updates in Salesforce, office management, vendor coordination, and support for board meetings and program reporting.

Lead development and implementation of nature-based habitat and resilience projects across the Mississippi River basin. Coordinate partners, conduct site selection and visits, manage projects and grants, develop funding proposals, engage stakeholders and landowners, synthesize technical information for diverse audiences, and support program goals and safety. Hybrid role with regional focus (Mississippi Alluvial Valley and Quad Cities) and travel about 15-20%.

Lead and implement habitat enhancement projects on public lands across North Carolina; build and maintain partner relationships; conduct and communicate bird and habitat monitoring; advise on restoration design and native plants; support outreach, grant and report writing, public representation, and project management including field work and travel.

The Communications Associate will support the communication efforts of the Upper Mississippi River region by creating content, managing social media, and developing communication materials for stakeholder engagement.
