Develops, optimizes, and sustains composite manufacturing processes for aerospace and defense programs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, improving safety, quality, throughput, and cost, designing tooling and fixtures, documenting work instructions, supporting equipment qualification, maintaining CNC and assembly processes, and applying FMEA, GD&T, CAD, AS9100, and NADCAP standards. Requires independent organization, cross-functional coordination, Excel proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Travel is less than 10%.

Design, analyze, integrate, test, and support production of composite solid-propellant rocket motors and critical aerospace systems. The engineer develops drawings, analyses, test plans, and reports; troubleshoots manufacturing issues; participates in design reviews, failure investigations, and change governance; and collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, customers, suppliers, and program teams. Work requires physics-based problem solving across structural, thermal, and internal ballistics challenges.

Develop and improve the Quality Management System for a new solid rocket motor manufacturing facility. Lead AS9100 compliance, documentation, audits, CAPA, root cause analysis, nonconformance management, quality metrics, process validation, supplier quality, and manufacturing readiness activities. Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, program teams, and international quality organizations to support startup and production excellence.

Plans and designs manufacturing processes and production workflows for a new solid rocket motor facility. Develops process specifications, work instructions, labor and tooling estimates, and manufacturing methods. Collaborates with tooling, design, safety, quality, maintenance, and project engineering teams on fixtures, equipment, DFM/DFA, design reviews, testing, and production support. Evaluates production data, resolves process issues, reduces defects and costs, and supports facility qualification. Requires frequent travel to Norway during the first 12–18 months.

Executes full-cycle recruiting for hourly, technical, professional, and salaried roles. Sources and screens candidates, coordinates interviews, manages offers, maintains pipelines and recruiting metrics, and ensures compliance. Supports employer branding through recruiting content and event coverage. Builds relationships with educational institutions, workforce agencies, military transition programs, and community organizations while coordinating career fairs, internships, tours, and presentations.

Leads company-wide learning and development initiatives across U.S. sites and departments. Assesses development needs, designs and implements training programs, administers employee evaluations, manages training budgets and materials, coaches leaders, and serves as the Cornerstone LMS subject matter expert. Measures training effectiveness, maintains development plan alignment, facilitates training events, and ensures programs support organizational goals and culture.

Design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automated production systems. Support HMI development, machine integration, commissioning, startup, validation, and controls-related root cause analysis. Designs, improves, and maintains automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Coordinates equipment projects from concept through fabrication, installation, and setup; develops fixtures and tooling; estimates costs; collaborates with vendors and internal teams; verifies quality and safety; and assists maintenance with troubleshooting and repairs.

Administers defense-related contracts and purchase orders by reviewing, negotiating, maintaining records, monitoring compliance, managing renewals, tracking sales, shipments, invoicing, and contractual data submissions. Supports proposals, audits, program managers, and business development while assessing contractual risks and coordinating with legal and internal stakeholders. Requires strong analytical, organizational, writing, and compliance skills, plus familiarity with accounting procedures and defense contract regulations.

Manages end-to-end proposal development for DoD, U.S. Government, and international customers. Leads proposal and pricing personnel, analyzes solicitations, develops schedules and compliance matrices, coordinates cross-functional inputs, oversees writing and quality assurance, manages budgets and deadlines, supports bid/no-bid decisions, responds to customer inquiries, and reports proposal metrics. Supervises three direct reports and ensures compliant, timely submissions while coordinating with Contracts, Program Management, Pricing, Sales, and Marketing.

Provides Tier 1/2 desktop support and system administration across workstations, servers, networks, cloud environments, and virtualized platforms.
