Jobs at Mystic Seaport Museum

Provides front-line technical support across an 18-acre museum campus, including hardware, software, networking, printers, peripherals, workstations, and POS terminals. Supports users of the Tessitura CRM and ticketing system, maintains accounts and permissions, troubleshoots incidents, configures devices, documents procedures, trains staff, escalates complex issues, and participates in system testing and rollouts.

Performs advanced structural repairs and construction on traditional wooden vessels, including hulls, decks, masts, spars, and caulking. Operates shipyard equipment, supports docking and launching, documents work, leads small teams and volunteers, and maintains vessels. Requires extensive traditional shipbuilding, joinery, rigging, vessel systems, repair setup, caulking, planking, spar construction, and safe material-handling expertise.

Serve as Mate aboard the classic sailing yacht BRILLIANT: assist the captain with vessel operation, teaching sail-training programs for teens and adults, perform and manage maintenance (including wooden yacht finish work), manage volunteers and vendors, stand in as vessel commander when captain absent, and maintain safety, professionalism, and program representation for the Mystic Seaport Museum.
