Leads energy market design strategy, rules, pricing mechanisms, tariff provisions, and market enhancements for wholesale electricity and ancillary service markets. Manages a team, cross-functional initiatives, budgets, planning, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder communications. Evaluates market policies using engineering, economic, and statistical analysis; develops recommendations supporting grid reliability, efficient pricing, and market participation. Requires extensive utility or electricity-market experience, management experience, and knowledge of NERC, FERC, CIP, and SSAE 16 compliance.

Processes and audits employee data changes in HRIS and LMS systems, including transfers, promotions, reorganizations, compensation adjustments, and title updates. Partners with HR, Finance, Compensation, and Talent teams on position maintenance, headcount alignment, job architecture, system enhancements, testing, documentation, compliance, and reporting. Supports accurate, timely, and audit-ready employee records and HR system processes.

Supports, designs, tests, validates, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots Energy Management System and power-system applications, including state estimation, contingency analysis, load forecasting, load frequency control, and operator training simulation. Coordinates testing, upgrades, failovers, disaster recovery drills, and model updates with infrastructure, database, market participant, and internal teams. Provides technical expertise, application support, mentoring, and subject-matter guidance for grid and market solutions.

Performs electrical engineering analysis for generation interconnections and electric power system planning. Conducts powerflow and transfer studies, reviews interconnection applications, analyzes simulated and operating data, develops technical solutions, improves study workflows, communicates requirements and findings to stakeholders, and tracks projects through commercial operation.

Support and develop on-premises and cloud Microsoft applications across the full software lifecycle. Build integrations, design/configure applications, troubleshoot production issues, remediate vulnerabilities, follow change management, and transfer knowledge to users and technical staff.

Operate as a NERC-certified Reliability Coordinator to monitor and analyze grid conditions, resolve transmission congestion, maintain Bulk Electric System reliability 24x7, complete required certifications, and contribute to process improvements.

The consultant will support RTOs and ISOs by designing, developing, testing, and implementing modifications to Energy and Market Management Systems.

Consultants will support utility clients with EMS, DMS, or Energy Market systems, focusing on integration, development, and project management. Primarily onsite roles, some remote opportunities may exist.

Support Market Management Systems applications, design and implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain application performance. Monitor industry trends and provide expert consulting in MMS.

Operate as a 24x7 Senior Reliability Coordinator to monitor and mitigate transmission congestion and bulk electric system risks. Maintain situational awareness, execute critical decisions during unplanned events, complete required NERC/RC certifications, and contribute to process improvements while working a six-week rotating 12-hour day/night schedule.
