Leads infectious disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, field studies, and operational epidemiological research supporting military force health protection. Designs protocols, manages complex datasets, applies advanced statistical and machine learning methods, develops surveillance systems, and communicates actionable findings to military, public health, clinical, and scientific stakeholders. The role also manages funded research projects, contributes to grants and publications, coordinates multidisciplinary and external collaborators, and provides guidance during urgent public health events.
