Reviews and resolves denied or underpaid insurance claims by identifying denial causes, preparing appeals, and collaborating with internal departments and insurance payers. Strong communication, organization, persistence, and problem-solving skills are important.

Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations using various equipment, including portable and operating-room machines. Interviews patients, adapts positioning and techniques, evaluates image quality, repeats studies when needed, and assists radiologists with contrast administration. Maintains patient documentation, safety standards, supplies, equipment, records, and confidentiality. Communicates procedures and results-related information to patients, physicians, nursing staff, and the public while providing compassionate, age-appropriate care.

Provide primary and urgent care for patients of all ages, perform minor procedures and physicals, manage work-related injuries, coordinate care with specialists, complete required quality assurance and documentation, and interpret basic labs, radiology, EKGs and pulmonary function tests.

Conduct and process external and internal medical audits, review medical records, track and validate audit data, compile reports on quality and payment measures, train clinicians, and coordinate resolution of audit-related issues to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory guidelines.

Prepare and submit electronic and paper insurance claims, verify patient eligibility, review coding for compliance, follow up on denied or unpaid claims, post payments and adjustments, coordinate with coding and clinical staff, appeal denials, and maintain current knowledge of billing regulations and insurer policies.

Perform radiographic procedures using a variety of equipment, organize daily department activities, assist radiologists, maintain filing and paperwork, and communicate effectively to support patient care.

Coordinate and develop safe discharge plans with patients, families, and care teams. Assess physical, functional, social, psychological, environmental, and financial needs; arrange community referrals and home care; maintain patient records and confidentiality; act as patient advocate and contribute to utilization and case management activities to ensure cost-effective, quality outcomes.

Provide clinical and clerical support in a clinic: room patients, take vitals/history, perform CLIA-waived testing, blood draws, injections, assist providers, handle referrals/prior authorizations, check-in/out, payments, basic coding/billing, inventory, and cross-train in lab, reception, and radiography.

Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using fixed and portable equipment, assess image quality, ensure radiation safety, assist radiologists with contrast administration, document patient information, perform departmental support tasks (stocking, reception, on-call duties), and demonstrate age-specific competency from neonate to geriatric patients.

Oversees hospital disaster preparedness and response, develops policies and response plans, coordinates with government and community partners, runs drills, manages emergency supplies, and leads disaster event response. As part of Quality Assurance, analyzes performance data, prepares QA reports, supports process improvement, conducts environmental tours, chairs the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and provides staff training and compliance oversight.

Perform and manage CT exams, produce high-quality diagnostic images, administer IV contrast, start IVs, screen patients, troubleshoot equipment, maintain documentation, ensure patient safety and confidentiality, complete mandatory competencies, and collaborate with staff and radiologists.

Serve as nursing informatics liaison to assess, plan, implement, train, evaluate and optimize nursing/clinical technology projects and EHR workflow. Coordinate interdisciplinary teams, support end users, lead quality improvement related to clinical technology, analyze outcomes, manage project resources, and promote best practices and education to improve patient care and safety.

Assist providers in creating and maintaining patient medical records by reviewing and abstracting clinical data into electronic health records, registries, and abstraction software. Coordinate with providers and staff, collect and analyze quality measure data, ensure accurate documentation for reporting, and demonstrate attention to detail and proficiency with data abstraction tools.

Manage daily operations of an assigned clinic department, overseeing staffing, budgeting, patient billing systems, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, staff development, safety, and provider relations. Serve as primary contact for complaints, coordinate inspections, support marketing efforts, and provide technical and operational backup to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
