Develops and improves manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and production systems. Leads Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement, cost reduction, time and motion studies, and process compliance initiatives. Quality Engineer responsible for APQP and PPAP documentation, launch support, production quality investigations, corrective actions, customer and supplier quality, audits, and continuous improvement. The role works across manufacturing processes including fabrication, welding, machining, coatings, and assembly while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, capability studies, inspection planning, quality reporting, and reducing scrap, rework, and customer complaints.

Operate production and assembly equipment including welders, robotic weld cells, stamping presses, grinders, benders, and forklifts. Load and unload parts, change welding components, perform quality checks, package products, make minor adjustments, complete production documentation, and build shipping boxes. Follow work instructions, use PPE, safely handle up to 40 pounds repetitively, and work effectively in a factory team environment.

Performs assigned production tasks on a manufacturing assembly line while following work instructions, company policies, ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 guidelines. Supports quality, production, scrap, rework, and delivery goals. Requires standing, walking, repetitive motion, bending, and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds. Overtime and short-notice schedule flexibility may be required.

Supports the Controller with month-end and year-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory accounting, cost accounting, depreciation schedules, leases, reporting, audits, and process improvements. Analyzes inventory, labor, and overhead variances; prepares consolidated inventory and sales reports; assists with physical inventories and standard cost rolls. Requires strong Excel skills, accounting knowledge, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work independently during close periods.

Manages quality department activities, including HTRs, PPAP, QIP, PQCT data sheets, and PFMEA. Oversees staffing, training, budgets, cost reduction, process improvements, outage investigations, and performance management. Ensures compliance with safety, quality, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and 5-S requirements in a manufacturing environment. Requires strong leadership, problem-solving, data analysis, blueprint interpretation, Microsoft Office proficiency, and knowledge of welding, roll-forming, stamping, and extrusion molding.

Provides full-cycle HR support, including recruiting assistance, onboarding, policy administration, employee relations, performance management, leave administration, benefits, payroll and timekeeping support, workers’ compensation, unemployment responses, compliance, and terminations. Maintains confidential personnel records and supports employees and supervisors across the organization. Requires HR experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office, ADP, and HR/payroll systems.

Develops, edits, and optimizes G-code programs for CNC mills and lathes; sets up machines, verifies tool paths and work offsets, selects tooling and machining parameters, troubleshoots performance issues, supports changeovers and tooling inventory, coordinates consumable purchases, and maintains program and process documentation while promoting safety and quality.

The Manufacturing Engineer improves manufacturing processes, systems, efficiency, and compliance through statistical analysis, Lean and Kaizen initiatives, time studies, and cost reduction. The role supports program launches, evaluates materials and equipment, designs tools and machinery, interprets technical drawings, and resolves production or system malfunctions. It requires regular shop-floor collaboration with management, production staff, vendors, and customers in a plant environment.
