Create and maintain company-wide staff schedules for ambulance operations, manage time-off and shift trades, coordinate with Operations to fill shifts, add special events, run basic reports, and maintain positive staff communication. Manage and supervise Education, QA, Marketing & Employee Engagement teams for an EMS division. Drive culture, coach leaders, ensure operational and financial targets, maintain regulatory and clinical standards, coordinate disaster/mass-casualty responses, and uphold community/customer relations. Maintain certifications, driver qualifications, and EPCR proficiency.

Provide emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care and patient transport per Michigan EMT-Basic scope and MDCH guidelines. Assess, stabilize, document patient condition, operate and maintain ambulance and equipment, coordinate with other emergency services, follow communications protocols, and complete required training and certifications.

Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries and supporting documentation; oversee general ledger controls, accounts payable/receivable, and daily bank entries; support payroll, budgeting, and audits (annual and 401k); maintain accounting systems, ensure GAAP compliance, produce reports, and complete special accounting projects as assigned.

Provide field training and orientation to students, externs and personnel while serving as a road EMT/paramedic. Monitor and evaluate performance, conduct ride-alongs, run skills labs, complete documentation audits, attend required education, and maintain certifications (trauma, pediatrics, emergency driving, FEMA NIMS). Perform standard EMT duties, meet physical and driving requirements, and comply with post-employment physical, drug screen and training.

Contact patients and payers to resolve Medicare/Medicaid, BCBS, commercial, and patient-pay billing issues. Process denials, appeals, refunds, credit card payments, resubmit claims, enter demographics, handle incoming calls, initiate collections when appropriate, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
