Provide emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care and patient transport per Michigan EMT-Basic scope and MDCH guidelines. Assess, stabilize, document patient condition, operate and maintain ambulance and equipment, coordinate with other emergency services, follow communications protocols, and complete required training and certifications.

Provide field training and orientation to students, externs and personnel while serving as a road EMT/paramedic. Monitor and evaluate performance, conduct ride-alongs, run skills labs, complete documentation audits, attend required education, and maintain certifications (trauma, pediatrics, emergency driving, FEMA NIMS). Perform standard EMT duties, meet physical and driving requirements, and comply with post-employment physical, drug screen and training.
