Transports supplies, laundry, pharmacy items, mail, cash, small equipment and laboratory specimens between hospital campus and clinics. Follows established routes, maintains logs and packing slips, restocks supplies, operates courier vehicle and centrifuge, adheres to infection control and safety protocols, and returns to campus after off-site duties.

Provides supervised, entry-level patient care in the ICU while enrolled in nursing school. Assists with activities of daily living, vitals, intake/output, specimen collection, admissions/transfers, basic clinical skills, and documentation. Works under an RN's direct supervision to learn unit workflow, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration without independent patient-assignment responsibility.

Nurse Extern is a nursing student under direct RN supervision who assists with basic nursing care, ADLs, vital signs, specimen collection, admissions/transfers/discharges, and unit workflow. The role provides hands-on learning in telemetry, supports patient safety and documentation, participates in quality improvement, and performs core/unit-specific clinical skills without independent patient-care responsibility.
