The Hardware Systems Engineer will lead interdisciplinary projects on the development and optimization of Mill's food recycling technology, focusing on system performance and collaboration with various engineering teams.

Lead and grow a small firmware team while contributing hands-on to MCU firmware design and implementation. Develop wireless connectivity, OTA, sensor integration, and communication stacks. Debug, test, and optimize low-level code and hardware interfaces (GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART). Collaborate with cloud, mobile, product, and hardware teams to ensure production readiness and reliability; recruit, review code, and set technical roadmaps.

Lead product for the consumer e-commerce platform, owning account systems, onboarding, integrations, order and pricing architecture, and platform roadmap. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, drive features that boost growth and conversion, reduce technical debt, and enable subscriptions, bundling, promotions, and distribution channel support.

Lead the commercial hardware product roadmap from development through launch and post-launch iterations. Define requirements, prioritize tradeoffs, coordinate Engineering, Ops, Design, and Sales, synthesize field and customer feedback, track metrics, and drive product decisions to ensure cost, reliability, serviceability, and user experience goals are met.

Lead technical design and delivery of full‑stack web applications. Write and maintain high‑quality code across frontend and backend, design scalable APIs, use AI‑assisted development tools, mentor junior engineers, run code reviews, champion testing and CI/CD, and collaborate with product and hardware teams to troubleshoot and optimize production systems.

Design, build, and run electromechanical test fixtures and measurement systems to validate product functionality and reliability. Integrate sensors and DAQ, collaborate with firmware/algorithms/mechanical teams, analyze and visualize test data, document procedures, create reports, and troubleshoot field issues to inform design improvements.

Lead mechanical integration of camera and imaging systems from concept through mass production. Create CAD models and specs, prototype and test camera subsystems, perform tolerance and thermal analyses, drive RCA and corrective actions, and coordinate manufacturing and supply chain for scalable assembly.

Manage the end-to-end hardware launch for Mill's commercial operations, overseeing site readiness, vendor management, and partner success to ensure successful deployment of infrastructure solutions.

As a Product Design Engineering intern, you'll support design and testing of new products, develop prototypes, and work on CAD documentation.

Technical individual contributor leading full-stack project architecture and delivery. Write and review code across frontend and backend, design scalable serverless/microservice systems, optimize APIs and databases, use AI-assisted tooling daily, mentor engineers, partner with product, and champion testing, CI/CD, performance, and security best practices.

Design and implement firmware for connected products, optimizing communication stacks and ensuring reliable wireless connectivity while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and a customer-facing recommendation engine (including LLM logic). Manage data warehouse, data quality monitoring, CI/CD for pipelines, and partner with product, analytics, engineering, and marketing to ensure consistent metrics and observability.
