Design and analyze mechanical systems and equipment for direct reduction plants. Create conceptual designs, review vendor submittals, write technical specifications, support inspections, coordinate with designers and consultants, and travel to fabrication shops and job sites to collect data and perform on-site inspections.

Develop, maintain, and extend proprietary engineering calculation tools using C++/Qt and Microsoft Power Platform. Support software integration, documentation, testing, and user training. Collaborate across departments, assist with software/hardware procurement and migration, and apply engineering domain knowledge (thermodynamics, heat transfer, kinetics) to produce traceable, maintainable process modeling and data-analysis solutions.

Lead mechanical equipment specification, design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for Direct Reduced Iron plants. Act as lead equipment engineer coordinating designers, checking drawings and calculations, supporting procurement and aftermarket, traveling for inspections and commissioning, mentoring engineers, and supporting sales and proposals.

Manage the full lifecycle of project accounting: project setup in ERP, determine revenue recognition, prepare billings and customer invoices, reconcile project balance sheet and income statements monthly, coordinate reporting with project controls, assist AR/AP and PO-based payables, and ensure timely month-end and project close-out.

Coordinate project tasks, track progress, maintain documentation, attend meetings and record minutes/action items, communicate with internal teams and external partners, support procurement and resource coordination, ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards, and assist with process improvements and cross-training to help deliver projects on time and within scope.

Lead enterprise data architecture, designing data lakes/warehouses, pipelines, and governance. Implement scalable cloud/hybrid platforms, metadata, catalogs, lineage, and security. Partner with stakeholders, mentor teams, and support analytics, AI/ML, and regulatory reporting.

Prepare and maintain P&IDs, PFDs, equipment/line/instrument lists and process system databases; develop Intelligent P&ID procedures, validate database integrity, lead design reviews, train users, and support CAD/P&ID tools integration.

Provide project cost control and analysis for Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) plant projects: create and maintain work package budgets in the ERP, prepare month-end reports, forecasts (ETC/EAC), variance and burn-rate analyses, support invoicing per contract terms, and maintain risk registers while interfacing with project teams and stakeholders across functions.

Support Midrex IP strategy by preparing, drafting, and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications; coordinate with internal engineers and external counsel; conduct prior art and patentability searches; assist with FTO, portfolio management, docketing, and IP due diligence; evaluate technologies and manage prosecution costs and deadlines.
