Design and analyze mechanical systems and equipment for direct reduction plants. Create conceptual designs, review vendor submittals, write technical specifications, support inspections, coordinate with designers and consultants, and travel to fabrication shops and job sites to collect data and perform on-site inspections.

Develop, maintain, and extend proprietary engineering calculation tools using C++/Qt and Microsoft Power Platform. Support software integration, documentation, testing, and user training. Collaborate across departments, assist with software/hardware procurement and migration, and apply engineering domain knowledge (thermodynamics, heat transfer, kinetics) to produce traceable, maintainable process modeling and data-analysis solutions.

Lead mechanical equipment specification, design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for Direct Reduced Iron plants. Act as lead equipment engineer coordinating designers, checking drawings and calculations, supporting procurement and aftermarket, traveling for inspections and commissioning, mentoring engineers, and supporting sales and proposals.
