Performs soldering on electronic assemblies throughout the production process. Follows assembly instructions, identifies solder quality issues, maintains production rates, and performs wire tinning, component installation, removal, rework, and circuit board repairs. Advanced responsibilities include hot-air rework, complex electronic package repairs, adherence to IPC standards, and training or supervising other solderers. Uses Microboard MIS (Aegis) software and follows OSHA and SDS safety policies.

Leads Engineering and Document Control, developing teams, processes, technology roadmaps, and manufacturing capabilities. Directs NPI from quotation through launch, including DFM/DFT, process development, documentation, tooling, programming, and validation. Provides technical leadership for PCBA, SMT, assembly, inspection, testing, and rework processes. Supports customers, suppliers, quotations, production problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional business objectives.

Leads manufacturing and technical operations in a high-mix EMS environment, overseeing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance. Manages manufacturing, SMT, testing, box build, and materials operations while improving production planning, capacity, OEE, labor productivity, and lean systems. Supports NPI, DFM/DFT, customer engineering collaboration, capital planning, compliance, budgets, and margin improvement. Develops technical teams and implements tiered daily management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across regulated operations.

Supports engineering projects, manufacturing process development, product and process validation, root cause analysis, equipment evaluation, and continuous improvement. Provides technical support during PCB and electro-mechanical assembly operations, develops SOPs and work instructions, designs fixtures, reviews PCB data, coordinates with production and quality teams, and prepares project schedules, calculations, reports, and documentation under senior engineering supervision.

Leads PCB and PCBA quality across design, fabrication, assembly, suppliers, and product lifecycle activities. Defines inspection and control plans, reviews technical documentation, manages nonconformance and corrective actions, qualifies suppliers, oversees inspections and failure analysis, and drives data-based process improvement. Manages quality engineers and inspectors while ensuring compliance with IPC, ISO, AS9100, and customer requirements.

Supports customer quotation activities by reviewing requirements, managing supplier quote requests, maintaining status reports, preparing costed bills of material and labor workbooks, analyzing purchase price variances, and reporting quote accuracy and metrics. Collaborates with proposal management, purchasing, suppliers, and program management while progressively handling more complex quotations.

Leads SMT process development, optimization, NPI support, and continuous improvement across electronics manufacturing lines. Owns process capability, yield, documentation, equipment qualification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Provides technical mentorship, coordinates cross-functional projects, supports DFM and customer engagement, and manages equipment and fixture initiatives. Requires expertise in SMT equipment, IPC standards, Lean and Six Sigma methods, and structured problem-solving.

Performs electronic assembly rework, including component removal and replacement, soldering, PCB pad and trace repairs, wire modifications, inspections, and advanced damaged-board repairs. Uses Air-Vac and Pace IR systems, microscopes, preheaters, and manual soldering tools. Follows manufacturing, quality, safety, ESD, MSD, FOD, and ITAR requirements. Advanced specialists may independently complete complex repairs, program rework systems, and train team members.
