Oversee MPD’s administrative operations, including finance, procurement, contracts, human resources, facilities, information technology, case management systems, policy, data, and risk management. Lead administrative departments, coordinate department directors, implement organizational strategies, ensure compliance and efficient daily operations, and support the Executive Director in achieving mission and program goals.

Provides court-appointed criminal defense representation in Oregon. Responsibilities include reviewing charging documents and discovery, meeting with clients, directing investigations, researching legal issues, negotiating with prosecutors, litigating motions and trials, and handling sentencing and post-trial matters. Attorneys may also represent clients in specialty courts or juvenile proceedings while complying with applicable laws, professional standards, and Oregon ethical rules.

Responsibilities include reviewing charges and discovery, interviewing clients, directing investigations, researching legal issues, negotiating with prosecutors, litigating cases through trial, handling sentencing and post-trial motions, and representing clients in specialty or juvenile courts while following Oregon law and professional conduct rules.
