Metropolitan Public Defender

Metropolitan Public Defender is a nonprofit law firm that contracts with Oregon to provide public defense and indigent legal services. It represents clients in criminal cases from misdemeanors to capital offenses, juvenile delinquency and dependency matters, and mental-health and treatment-court proceedings. Serving Multnomah and Washington counties, MPD also provides community-based legal support to low-income people through a holistic model aimed at improving outcomes and long-term stability.
