Provides systemwide leadership for library safety, security, emergency preparedness, and risk management programs. Establishes standards, oversees security resources, analyzes incident trends and emerging risks, and supports safe, welcoming library environments. Leads safety and security operations and personnel, coordinates with library leadership, responds to emergencies, and remains available during evenings, weekends, and on a 24/7 emergency basis.

Assists library members by issuing and receiving materials, locating books, managing accounts, issuing library cards, explaining services, supporting self-service technology, and maintaining collections. Works under the Access Manager at the Belle Isle Library in Oklahoma City. Requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, with schedules subject to library needs.

Leads the organization’s learning and development function by creating system-wide learning strategies, advising leadership, managing staff development programs, and evaluating learning effectiveness. The role supports workforce capability and organizational priorities through program oversight, outcome measurement, coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development. It also advises on organizational effectiveness, change initiatives, and workforce development.

Supports library strategic goals by assisting customers and delivering relevant programs and services inside and outside the library. The role involves public service, community relationship-building, program planning, implementation, and evaluation. It is a half-time position requiring availability for specified daytime or evening shifts, including Saturdays, at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library in Oklahoma City.
