The Paralegal supports contract review, administration, execution, tracking, renewals, and record retention. Provides high-level administrative support to the CEO by managing calendars, correspondence, meetings, communications, confidential matters, travel arrangements, and special projects. Coordinates stakeholders, prepares business-planning materials, prioritizes competing demands, follows up on initiatives, and supports operational efficiency. The position is full-time and on-site in Richmond, Virginia, with healthcare or regulated-industry experience preferred.

Oversee operational performance across multiple correctional healthcare facilities, ensuring regulatory, contractual, and quality compliance. Lead site performance improvement, corrective action plans, staffing and retention efforts, client relationships, leadership coaching, training, and cross-functional initiatives. Analyze performance data, address operational risks, support budgets and business development, and promote consistent healthcare service delivery across the assigned region.

Leads the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls. Manages and develops the accounting team, ensures GAAP compliance, supports budgeting and forecasting, improves accounting systems and processes, and partners with operational and finance leaders on reporting, controls, and organizational growth initiatives.

Provides licensed mental health services in a correctional healthcare setting, including patient assessments, crisis intervention, therapy, treatment planning, follow-up evaluations, documentation, and case coordination. Collaborates with medical, clinical, and correctional staff while maintaining regulatory compliance and evidence-based care. May supervise resident mental health providers and must follow facility procedures, professional standards, and applicable licensing requirements.

Develops competitive pricing models and financial proposals for correctional healthcare RFPs, RFIs, renewals, and expansions. Analyzes staffing, labor costs, utilization, startup expenses, profitability, risks, market conditions, and contract requirements. Collaborates with business development, operations, finance, HR, recruiting, compliance, and leadership to validate assumptions, support bid strategy, document pricing, and facilitate post-award transitions.

Coordinates discharge and pre-release planning for patients in a correctional healthcare setting. Responsibilities include assessing needs, arranging follow-up appointments and community services, coordinating behavioral health and specialized transitional programs, educating patients, preparing discharge summaries, arranging release medications, maintaining health records, and liaising with jail staff, healthcare providers, community agencies, and court personnel.

Provides psychiatric care to incarcerated patients, including evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, medication management, crisis intervention, suicide and violence risk assessments, documentation, and compliance activities. Collaborates with healthcare and correctional staff, supports mental health education and quality improvement, supervises or collaborates with psychiatric nurse practitioners, and provides phone coverage for psychiatric emergencies.

Process biweekly multi-state payroll accurately and on time; resolve payroll discrepancies; manage tax jurisdiction setup and reporting; coordinate with HR and Finance on rate, benefit, and status changes; process incentives and disability payments; assist audits and serve as AP/AR backup using QuickBooks.
