Lead all production, compliance, health and safety activities at the Bedford manufacturing plant. Lead the North and Scotland regional sales function, managing Regional Sales Managers and driving revenue, profitability, market share, customer relationships, budgets, and strategic growth. The role involves developing sales strategies, coaching a high-performing team, managing pricing and contracts, monitoring performance, collaborating cross-functionally, and representing the company at industry events.

Manage customer orders from entry through delivery, coordinating with sales, logistics, and fulfilment teams to achieve on-time, in-full delivery. Resolve customer and haulier issues, communicate delivery updates, monitor amendment-related costs, and identify process improvements. The role requires strong customer service, organisation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage complaints and escalations professionally.

Operate and monitor production machinery to manufacture precast concrete drainage products. Set up machines, adjust parameters, complete start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures, troubleshoot faults, perform routine checks and minor maintenance, and maintain production quality and efficiency. Record production data, downtime, and performance metrics while following technical instructions, SHEQ standards, and safe operating procedures. Use tools, machinery, and lifting equipment in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Lead a rotating-shift manufacturing operations team, overseeing plant and equipment safety, quality, waste, OEE, process controls, and people management. Manage quality incidents, ensure product containment, enforce health and safety standards, deliver team briefings, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also includes employee development, performance management, and maintaining compliance with site procedures and operational targets.

Manage site administration and manufacturing operational tasks, including stock control, stock takes, cycle counts, purchase orders, invoices, ERP/MRP updates, and maintaining accurate PPE and engineering stores levels. Produce spreadsheet reports and pivot tables, support inventory accuracy, and communicate effectively across the site operations team.

Operate, set up, monitor, and optimize production machinery manufacturing decorative architectural masonry and concrete products. Perform machine checks, adjustments, changeovers, quality inspections, and production recordkeeping. Support safety, OEE, waste reduction, continuous improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and new-starter training while working with Engineering and Maintenance teams.

Operate press, shot-blast and other plant equipment to produce concrete landscaping products within a shift-based team. Follow health and safety procedures, move stock with forklifts, use basic computer systems, and participate in training and development to progress within the grading structure.
